Locomotive Class 110 at Sakuragicho - Yokohama


At Sakuragicho, the first Japanese railway station and which was the original Yokohama station, there is the steam locomotive 110 which entered service in 1872, the year following its importation from Great Britain,
In addition to the locomotive, there are currently reproductions of passenger carriages, explanatory panels and dioramas.
This permanent exhibition can be visited every day and demonstrates that the history of the railway has been highly appreciated in Japan since the moment of its foundation.
