Tomix N gauge wagon conversion in H0n30 gauge wagon - fast&easy

Do you need open wagons? Starting from a Tomix N scale model you can have a nice wagon in H0e/H0n30 in a simple way!

The model in question is the Tomix 2726 - J.N.R oper wagon Type Tora with an approximate cost of 700 yen.

First things disassemble, a simple operation that doesn’t involve any special precautions except a little delicacy.

The parts ready for painting!

The couplers have been replaced with ones from a Jellymodels model.

The tank was painted with Gaianotes lacquers and sealed with Tamiya matt clear coat. 

Then proceed with the reassembly as in the photo.

Model finished!

 

Flat Car H0e- 3D printed

A small painted and weathering service trolley.

The base is a 3D printed resin trolley.

I applied the primer to the trolley and then the color red leather for the frame and sand for the flat.

After a coat of semigloss lacquer a thin layer of chipping fluid was applied. After that a coat of acrylic Neutral Gray Tamiya.

A few minutes after applying the Neutral Gray, chipping was carried out with a flat brush and hot water.

To protect the chipping work, a coat of glossy lacquer was applied.

With light gray I emphasized the paint scrapings and the protuberances of the trolley, like a dry brush effect but focused on some parts.

After making the texture of the wood on the sand color with various shades of brown, a dark brown enamel filter was added and the whole was sealed with the transparent satin lacquer.

Very nice this kit of Toma Model Works!
In the box 2 couple of timber carrier car really simple to assemble. The models are in plastic that you can glue with the normal Tamiya glue. Even if the wheels run well, I recommend replacing them with a pair of metal axes.

VDump Car Painting&Weathering Recap- 0n18 (1/48)

This is the 3D printed prototype of the Vdump car of JellyModels:

After spraying Tamiya primer, I painted it with rust tones:

After paint drying I sprayed the model with AK Heavy Chipping liquid:

On AK chipping liquid layer I painted the surface with acrylic black:

Once the color is dry, with a brush and water I scraped the black color:

I finished everything with Vallejo acrylics (rust tones) and various filters and pigments:
